Study explores compassionate care of terminally ill babies

Checklists used by NICU nurses helped ensure terminally ill neonates received quality and compassionate care and empowered parents to make decisions, researchers from Christiana Care Health System reported at a National Association of Neonatal Nurses conference. Use of the checklist led to completion of a majority of interventions relevant to parental involvement.
