Supreme Court denies banks' ability to appeal FHFA case

The Supreme Court ruled this week that banks sued by the Federal Housing Finance Agency cannot seek the review of a ruling by the New York-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The case stems from a 2011 lawsuit brought by the agency against 18 banks relating to alleged misrepresentation of certain mortgage-backed securities.
