Texas-sized "Lone Star" design wins student glass packaging competition

Each year, Michigan State University's School of Packaging holds a glass packaging design competition sponsored by the Glass Packaging Institute. The competition is designed to foster industry partnerships with future packaging professionals. This year’s winning team beat out 70 other student teams with their Lone Star Whiskey packaging -- a cowboy-friendly, robust, five-sided package design. The winning team designed the 740ml glass bottle that featured a star-shaped shoulder that carried up the bottle neck. Read more and see images of the product.
