Testing for potential vapor intrusion may be required in transfers of property with contaminated soil or groundwater if proposed revisions to the ASTM E 1527 standard are adopted, write attorneys Ilana Morady, Camille Olson and Andrew Perellis. Phase II sampling may also be required regardless of whether a "No Further Remediation" letter was issued previously for the property, unless vapor-intrusion risks can be ruled out, they write.
