General Mills' Pillsbury Buy Stalls Amid FTC's Doughboy Worries

The FTC's ongoing negotiations over whether to approve General Mills' $10.5 billion acquisition of rival Pillsbury apparently have stalled over whether the famous Doughboy brand could be shared by both General Mills and International Multifoods. The FTC worries the Doughboy brand will be diluted and that there might not be enough incentive for General Mills to promote the shared brand.
