Firm closes on deal for air rights above Union Station

Washington, D.C.-based real estate firm Akridge has closed on a $10 million deal for the air rights at Union Station, necessary for its ambitious $1 billion plan for a mixed-use development. The project, called Burnham Place at Union Station, will connect the rail station to a retail complex built on a platform built 20 feet over the rail yard.
