EC proposes changes to definition of GDS parent carriers

The European Commission has altered the language in its definition of global distribution systems' parent carriers in its proposed rule changes. The move has sparked some to speculate that the change is a way for Amadeus, which is partially owned by Air France/KLM, Lufthansa and Iberia, to be considered not to have parent carriers.
