Stater Bros. Markets Chairman and CEO Jack Brown said the biggest thing he has learned in the grocery business is knowing one's customers. "When one man owns a company, he's always going to be wealthy and do well financially. His priority is going to be to run the best store he can run. Rather than pleasing shareholders, he's going to do the best he can for his customers and his employees," a Wisconsin-based supermarket analyst said.
