Study links Parkinson's, Alzheimer's risks

Shared genetic variants could lead to the co-occurrence of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases in families, and relatives of people with Parkinson's have a 73% higher risk of developing Alzheimer's, according to a study. Researchers also say environmental risk factors may link the two diseases.
