Texas Cord Blood Bank shares milestones

The Texas Cord Blood Bank, which is operated by the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, said it has facilitated cord-blood donor matches for 50 patients since it started coordinating with the National Marrow Donor Program in 2006. The bank also said it now stores 5,400-plus units of cord blood for transplants.
