Artifacts give Mass. students a look at life in 1800s

The history of Lawrence, Mass., was on display for a group of high-school students and their history teacher during a recent tour of artifacts from the 1800s at Lawrence Heritage State Park. The items include medicine bottles and pottery uncovered at a site that was being prepared for a monument in memory of the Textile Strike of 1912. The visitor's center exhibit is part of the celebration of "Foundations of the Past" archaeological month.
