Colo. completes inspection of most oil, gas wells in flood zone

Colorado regulators have inspected approximately 80% of oil and natural gas wells in a "flood-impact" zone that the state has just defined. The effort is an "exercise designed to use an excess of caution in ensuring any location potentially affected receives an assessment and evaluation," said Todd Hartman, a spokesman for the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Regulators are also monitoring 13 notable oil spills.
