Fall TV season is off to a promising start for broadcast

Broadcast TV is in the third week of the fall season with prime-time viewership up slightly compared with last year to 8.21 million on average across the four networks, Nielsen reports. However, the 18-to-49 category is off by 2.5% to an average of 2.3 million. Also, some of the most buzzed-about new broadcast series are living up to their hype, with ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Super Fun Night," NBC's "The Blacklist" and CBS' "The Crazy Ones" and "The Millers" making up the top five freshman shows.
