Mass. hospital offers incentives to get doctors to adopt EMRs

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston said the MGPO Quality Incentive Program has enabled it to meet federal meaningful use requirements and other quality objectives. Under the initiative, doctors within Massachusetts General Physicians Organization's network receive as much as $5,000 a year for using e-prescribing, EMRs and evidence-based care models to fulfill performance goals.
