Meredith: AR apps engage readers better than QR codes

Meredith is among the publishers experimenting with print-to-mobile technologies, and it's discovering augmented reality to be preferable to QR codes for "driving more reader engagement," says Meredith's Doug Crichton. Meredith has combined the Blippar application with content to supplement titles such as Parents and American Baby, and is moving on to Better Homes and Gardens in December.
