PTSD may raise metabolic syndrome risk, study finds

A literature review and meta-analysis showed people with post-traumatic stress disorder had a higher risk of developing metabolic syndrome. PTSD patients had a pooled odds ratio of 1.37 for metabolic syndrome, according to the study published in the journal Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders.
