Review further ties antidepressants to diabetes risk

An analysis in Diabetes Care found that people who use antidepressant drugs were at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes and that the risk may vary depending on the type of antidepressant. However, researchers said the findings warrant further assessment, and people using such medications should not stop taking them but should be screened for glucose tolerance or diabetes.
