Senate Republicans highlight consumers' sticker shock at ACA coverage

Senate Finance Committee Republicans compiled examples of consumers' complaints about higher prices for individual coverage on the Affordable Care Act's online insurance marketplaces. "I don't think going from a premium of $289 to $855 is affordable," Gail Williamson Schaal wrote on the Facebook page of HealthCare.gov. "This law must be repealed so that we can pass step-by-step reforms that ... [reduce] the cost of health care so that more people can afford it," Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn, said in a statement.
