When school dress-code issues should be addressed

School dress codes have long been debated, writes Gretchen Oltman, an attorney in Nebraska who cites several high-profile cases across the country. In this blog post, she writes that some educators advise that they only concern themselves with dress issues that drastically affect the school environment and interfere with learning, such as a vulgar T-shirt, and to use those occasions as teachable moments.
