FDA urged to pursue balanced oversight of nanotech field

Speakers at an FDA conference on the future of nanotechnology said the government needs to keep a close watch on the fast-growing field without stifling potentially valuable new developments. "The success of nanotechnology will rely in large part on how FDA plays its regulatory role," said Michael Taylor of the University of Maryland's School of Public Health.
