Saatchi's venture serves as test for online art sales

More than a dozen Internet sites sell artwork, but many buyers prefer to buy art directly from auction houses or dealers. Some observers say Saatchi Online's entry into this market will serve as a test for online sales. The online gallery last year invited artists to upload and sell their art on the site while taking no commission.
