Former "worst" school makes progress

A Halifax, England, school once thought to be failing was ranked "good" in most areas in a recent survey, but that turnaround will have little effect as the comprehensive school is still set to close its doors next year. The Office for Standards in Education report found that The Ridings School now provides a quality education for students, and is no longer plagued by the poor attendance, bad behaviour and inadequate teaching that had been its trademark.
