FOCUS Brands to acquire Auntie Anne's pretzel chain

FOCUS Brands, a unit of private equity firm Roark Capital, plans to add Auntie Anne's to its lineup of food franchises. The Atlanta-based company, whose brands include Carvel, Cinnabon and Schlotzsky's, expects to acquire the 1,100-store pretzel chain for an undisclosed amount this fall; the deal will give FOCUS a presence in 47 states and 42 countries.
