Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, says that when he interviews a job candidate, he likes to ask questions about what the person is reading, the meaning of work-life balance -- and whether the person appreciates a cup of joe. "I think it would be very difficult for me to hire somebody who doesn't drink coffee," he says.
