University of S.C. approves $239M in construction, renovation

The University of South Carolina, which narrowly avoided a recent state-imposed construction moratorium, has received approval from its trustees for $239 million in construction and renovation projects, including a new building for its business school. The university is pushing back against financial pressures by refinancing its debt, and it has benefited from substantially lower bids than originally expected on several of the projects.
