Widow is not entitled to workers' comp benefits, Tenn. court says

Tennessee's Supreme Court concurred with a lower court's ruling that denied workers' compensation benefits to the widow of an employee who was killed while on the job at a mill in Nashville, Tenn. The worker was shot to death while at work, but the court found that there was no evidence the killing was related to his job and termed his death a "neutral assault." The state's "street risk" statute could not also be applied as the public has no access to the workplace, the court added.
