Some in the AEC profession remain wary of using building information modeling for their projects, and this article delves into the experience -- positive and negative -- when using BIM in concrete and design-build construction. "As we've come along, we've become better at using the software, and are able to generate more accurate modeling for BIM. But you still need to allow time to work out the design details," said Chris Plue, vice president of Webcor Concrete, a division of Webcor Builders in California.
