Do satellite maps create security concerns?

In some cases, digital maps from companies such as Google and Apple reveal information that governments around the world would rather keep secret. For example, Taiwan wants Apple to censor images of a radar base that would provide forewarning in the case of a missile attack. Situations like this raise questions as to how digital mapping companies should balance accuracy against other concerns.
