Social media is enlisted to fight sexually transmitted diseases

Young people who were asked to "like" a Facebook page that provided them with information about sexually transmitted diseases were more likely to use safe practices in their future intimate encounters, according to a University of Colorado study. Still, the effect appears to be fleeting: six months later, researchers found that most subjects had reverted to their previous unsafe habits.
