White House engages opposition ahead of cybersecurity order

The White House is engaged in last-minute discussions with lawmakers in an attempt to draw support and allay criticisms ahead of President Barack Obama's planned executive order on cybersecurity. A White House spokeswoman confirmed that national security officials met with Senate staffers last week. The officials are now planning to meet with representatives from the House, following an accusation from Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., that the White House was being "irresponsible" for not engaging the opposition.
