Calif. governor approves extension of autism insurance mandate

Set to expire in July 2014, the autism insurance mandate in California has been granted an extension of more than two years by Gov. Jerry Brown. Under the provisions of the legislation, private health insurers should provide coverage for behavioral treatment for children with autism or pervasive developmental disorders.
