Dooley: ACC is committed to its principles on TSCA reform

A letter from Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., that questions the American Chemistry Council's commitment to reforming the Toxic Substances Control Act "is based on misinterpretations" of the group's principles for TSCA reform as well as statements at a July hearing, ACC President and CEO Cal Dooley said. The group remains fully committed to ACC's Principles for Modernizing TSCA and has been "quite clear in our support for expanded EPA testing authority for existing chemicals subject to additional EPA review," Dooley said. ACC also supports the Chemical Safety Improvement Act, which is "the most broadly supported and only bipartisan TSCA reform proposal in history," he added.
