Ill. English-language learners to have nonfiction books published

A trio of eighth-grade students in an English as a Second Language class at Hadley Junior High School in Glen Elynn, Ill., have written nonfiction books that will be published. The books were selected by a peer-review process, judged on the same scale as native English speakers and will be published online by the American Reading Company. The three students selected their own book topics -- recycling and natural resources, NASCAR and the U.S. Revolutionary War -- for their 15- to 20-page research projects.
