By the end of this year, three more carriers at Gatwick Airport will use cloud-based kiosks for baggage dropoff. The airport will launch about 70 of the kiosks, which use remote Web servers, over the next year. "The first thing they say to customers is 'Welcome to Gatwick bag drop,' so any airline can use them as long as they have the necessary connections on the website," said Michael Ibbitson, Gatwick's chief information officer.
