Mintel sees path to baby food growth

The market for baby food declined 9% between 2008 and 2010 according to Mintel, but the trend could be reversed with innovations and organic products. The market research firm said parents with children younger than 3 are seeking organic baby food, spurring a surge in organic products, which accounted for a third to a half of category launches from 2007 to 2012.
