Natural preservatives can improve shelf life of organic products

Extending or establishing shelf life for organic products can be achieved using an organic version of the same strategy used for conventional products, including natural preservatives such as honey, raisins and rosemary extract. Increased use of natural preservatives is expected to widen the global preservative market to about $2.6 billion by 2016, according to MarketsandMarkets report.
