Ohio students' service project focuses on 1897 cannon

Welding students at a technical school in Willoughby, Ohio, are working with local American Legion members to restore a weather-worn German artillery piece captured by U.S. service members during World War I. The cannon, built in 1897, has been stripped of paint, cleaned and taken apart so students can complete the restoration by February. The cannon is the latest of other such community-service projects undertaken by students.
