Qualcomm is working on chips to enable machines to learn

Qualcomm says it's looking for partners to develop microchips that can copy the processes of the human brain. The smartphone-chip-maker says the technology would enable machines to use less power to carry out complex tasks. "The promise of this is a kind of machine that can learn and be programmed without software -- be programmed the way you teach your kid," Qualcomm's Matt Grob says.
