Quality of care, EHRs play role in docs' professional satisfaction

A RAND Corp. study revealed physicians achieve higher professional satisfaction if they are able to provide high-quality health care, and EHRs are an important part of the equation. While physicians indicated they believe EHRs can improve care, they said poor usability, time spent on data entry and system inefficiency drive professional dissatisfaction, according to the report.
