Report: Governments should take steps to mitigate damage from storms

An Urban Land Institute report provides 23 recommended steps for local and national governments, developers and property owners to adopt to pursue resiliency ahead of future storms. "Rebuilding, as well as new building, is increasingly being viewed as an opportunity to reduce disaster-related risk and increase community resilience, as well as enhance livability and protect natural resources," said Apollo Global Real Estate's Joseph Azrack, co-chairman of the committee that prepared the report.
