Starbucks CEO hopes a petition can lift government gridlock

Starbucks is urging Americans to sign a petition -- either digitally or at one of its more than 11,000 stores -- that calls for an end to the government shutdown. The "Come Together" petition, being pushed by CEO Howard Schultz, also calls for the government to pay its debts on time and come up with a long-term budget plan. "What's become clear to me, aside from the continued dysfunction we see from elected officials, is the sad and striking realization that Americans have no platform to express their frustration," Schultz said.
