Work to replace Dam No. 8 on Kentucky River is ahead of schedule

The 113-year-old Dam No. 8 on the Kentucky River is being replaced. Three steel cylinders filled with concrete will take the place of the old timber crib dam. A 24-hour to 36-hour placement of concrete into the first cylinder will be completed in the coming days. Work will also be undertaken at Lock No. 8.
