San Diego School Board Chief Steps Down After E-Mail Incident

San Diego school board President Sue Braun stepped down from her post Oct. 9 as the result of an e-mail message she wrote suggesting that shooting two colleagues would help to restore order to the board. Braun said she never meant the note seriously but that it was a "terrible error in judgment." Critics say Braun should have resigned from the school board as well.
