FDA revising pregnancy risk categories for drugs

A National Institutes of Health center says many drugs are available for pregnant women with benefits that outweigh the risks, particularly for women who have chronic medical conditions. The FDA is currently revising its five pregnancy risk categories -- which range from least problematic to most dangerous -- for prescription drugs.
