CTIA: Spectrum-auction rules could affect small carriers

The FCC's rules for January's spectrum auction could prompt larger carriers to go after spectrum that usually attracts smaller carriers, Christopher Guttman-McCabe, vice president of CTIA - The Wireless Association®, said during a hearing before the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee. More than 130 small and regional wireless carriers sent a letter to the U.S. Congress and the FCC urging them to abandon the current open-access rules.
