Study: User reviews beat expert reviews in product research

Fifty-five percent of online consumers in the U.S. turn to user reviews for product research, an eMarketer study reveals. Expert reviews trailed at 21%, although shoppers who know what they want often go directly to an online store to make a purchase, another study reports.
