Mass. device makers are hit hard by regulatory changes, recession

The lengthy economic downturn has taken its toll on three Massachusetts-based medical device firms -- NMT Medical, AdvanSource Biomaterials and NeuroMetrix -- that have been warned of possible delisting from large stock exchanges. Changes in the regulatory environment, including Medicare reimbursement cuts, also are putting some pressure on these companies.
