Army will defer work on multirole helicopter for budget reasons

Increased pressure to rein in its budget has prompted the Army to defer work on the Joint Multi-Role Helicopter until about 2030. However, the Army still intends to replace or upgrade its OH-58 Kiowa Warrior helicopters soon. Army Maj. Gen. Tim Crosby is looking into existing armed light helicopters that could replace the Kiowa Warrior.
