Local banks are a better bet for small-business loans

Small-business owners seeking capital are more likely to have success with smaller local banks, which are giving out Small Business Administration-backed loans at far higher rates than big banks. Small banks approved 45.1% of loans for small companies in September, while big banks approved only 9.2% of them.
