Twitter expands reach of link-shortening tool

All links posted to Twitter will now automatically be processed using the network's t.co link shortener, the company announced Monday. The tool, which is intended to combat spammers and thwart malware attacks, allows users to see the link destination's domain name so that they can tell what they're clicking on.
